Yes. All visitors require an Inner Line Permit (ILP) to enter Arunachal Pradesh. Additionally, for visits to Bum La Pass and certain border areas, separate permits are needed. We take care of arranging these permits for all our guests.

The ideal months are October to May.

  • October–November: Clear skies, post-monsoon beauty.
  • December–March: Snow season, especially at Sela Pass and Bum La.
  • April–May: Pleasant weather, rhododendrons in bloom.

Monsoon months (June–September) are best avoided due to landslides.

The most common route is from Guwahati by road:

Guwahati → Bhalukpong → Dirang → Tawang.
The journey takes two days with overnight halts. Helicopter services are sometimes available but depend on weather.

Yes, but the roads are long and winding. Our drivers are highly experienced in mountain terrain. In winter, snow at Sela Pass can cause delays, so buffer time is advised.

Tawang is located at around 10,000 ft, and Sela Pass is at 13,700 ft. Some travelers may feel mild discomfort such as headache or fatigue. We recommend gradual travel (with halts at Dirang), staying hydrated, and avoiding heavy meals on the way.

  • Warm clothes (even in summer nights can be chilly).
  • Woollen caps, gloves, and thermals (essential in winter).
  • Comfortable shoes for walking.
  • Sunscreen, lip balm, and medicines for altitude care.
  • ID proofs for permits.

Connectivity is limited. BSNL and Jio work best in most areas. Internet speed may be slow, especially at higher altitudes. Be prepared for minimal connectivity during parts of the trip.
